Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are medical conditions that are not infectious or transmissible between people. They typically have prolonged durations and are influenced by genetic, physiological, environmental, and behavioral factors. Common examples include cardiovascular diseases (such as heart attacks and strokes), cancer, chronic respiratory diseases (like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), and diabetes. starting a new initiative Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in addition to Mobile dispensaries providing Health services at doorstep in j j clusters, resettlement colonies and rural since 2015 onwards. This NCDs initiative is to screen the beneficiaries in respect of Diabetes mellitus, Hypertension, Chronic Pulmonary diseases (COPD) and cancer. The NCDs are Non- communicable diseases are sort of lifestyle diseases and has no relation with communicable diseases like bacterial, viral, water borne diseases, dengue, malaria, tuberculosis. STDs etc. So the initiative started from April 2019 for three hours on every Friday at four locations for screening the beneficiaries. In the mean time to rule out any malignancy/ cancer the Eduquest contacted Rajiv Gandhi Cancer hospital Rohini for screening of cervical cancer and breast cancer for female and lung cancer, oral cancer or any other parts of the body in both sexes. The hospital authorities happily agreed to work with Eduquest and TATA Power DDL in free consultation, investigation and treatment of the beneficiaries. Out of these four Pap smear report ( Ca Cx) were found doubtful are still under investigation at Rajiv Gandhi hospital for conforming the malignancy. This percentage is alarming for the locality. Under the circumstances to segregate the different types of NCDs, it is requested that a software for above mentioned diseases may kindly be got prepared with the help of IT department to make it smooth functioning of initiative and to save the time. This initiative will help the beneficiaries for early diagnosis, treatment and recovery and prevent the “ Healthy Life loss.”
